Mountain View, Calif., – August 13, 2015– Tintri Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, was named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the Best New Product or Service of the Year category in the 12th Annual International Business Awards today.

The International Business Awards (IBA) are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small—are eligible to submit nominations. The 2015 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto, Canada on October 23, 2015.

More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Tintri won in the Best New Product or Service of the Year category for Software: Cloud Storage and Backup Solutions. Built specifically for virtualized applications and cloud, Tintri is the only storage platform in the industry that provides virtual machine-level storage management, data protection, analytics and automation, with all flash performance.

The Tintri VMstore T800 series powers hundreds of thousands of virtual machines running business critical databases, enterprise apps, desktop and mobile apps, and private cloud deployments. Every step in the customer experience is designed to be profoundly simple - what used to take days and hours to accomplish now takes minutes.

One IBA judge said, “This solution absolutely helps in advancing IT professionals’ work. When IT admins spend 98 percent less time setting up and maintaining their storage arrays, that means it is really powerful. This is product superiority.”

“We are thrilled to be named a winner in this year’s Stevie IBAs,” said Yael Zheng, CMO of Tintri. “Our customers already know that our storage solutions address the needs of today’s highly virtualized world. With this award, the broader market is recognizing that Tintri is succeeding in challenging the storage quo.”

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from May through early August.

“The IBAs grow in stature and renown every year, and with that the number and quality of entries increases,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “This year’s judges were treated to more than 3,700 stories of success and achievement around the world. We thank the judges for their time and feedback, and we congratulate the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners whom we’ll celebrate in Toronto in October.”
